Tech career workshops
Take your career to the next level. Build a tech career, or a business worth funding.
In person talks, technical sessions and workshops that turn the skills you already have into work you can show. For career developers, jobseekers, recent graduates, career switchers, and anyone moving into tech.
Who it is for
Groups are kept small so everyone gets time. Open to anyone 18 and over with basic computer literacy.

Jobseekers and recent graduates
Find the work, and give employers clear evidence of what you can do.

Career developers and switchers
Go further in tech, or move into it, without going back to university for another three years.

Business people and founders
Get on top of the tech side of what you run, and meet people doing the same thing.
What we run
Different kinds of session, all of them in person and all of them about tech and your career. Some are a single evening, some run over weeks. What is coming up, and where, is on the booking page.

Career talks
Which roles are hiring, what each one asks of you, and how people got into them.

Technical sessions
Hands on with a tool or a subject, on your own laptop, working through it together.

IT support sessions
Bring the thing that is not working, or the thing you have never been shown how to do.

Networking
Meet people working in tech and people trying to get into it, in a room small enough to hold a proper conversation.

The group cohort
Several sessions over consecutive weeks, taking one idea of your own from a rough thought to something live.

One to one, and the apprenticeship
Private sessions, or three months of training and real project work. Both on the programmes page.
What you leave with
Four things you take away from the multi-week programmes. The one-off talks and sessions are a way in.

A project of your own, live online
You choose what to build, and you finish with it deployed at a web address of its own. It gives you something concrete to walk an interviewer or a client through.

A revamped CV and upgraded portfolio
Your CV, portfolio and LinkedIn profile are rebuilt around what you have achieved on the programme, and written so a recruiter can see your capability in the first few seconds.

The confidence to present your idea
You present your idea in the room and get direct feedback on how it lands. We also cover the UK funding routes open to it and what each one expects from an applicant.

A clear next step
The three month apprenticeship is where this leads if you want to keep going, and everyone completing a cohort is considered for a place. You leave knowing the options and which one suits your circumstances.
