Booking and registration terms

What you are booking

A place on a Vantage workshop cohort: two days, in person, at the venue shown for that cohort. The one to one intensive and the apprenticeship are arranged individually by email. Full details of each track are on the programmes page.

The dates, times, venue, focus, price and what your place includes are the ones shown for the cohort on the booking page when you book. Your confirmation email repeats them.

Bookings for a cohort close 24 hours before its first day starts.

Who can attend

You must be an adult aged 18+.

Sessions assume everyday computer literacy: that you are comfortable operating a computer, managing files, using a web browser and working independently with everyday software. No prior coding, computer science or technical background is required.

Price and payment

Each cohort's price is shown on the booking page. Where a cohort has a price, you pay in full when you book, on Stripe's secure payment page. Your place is confirmed when the payment succeeds, and we email you a confirmation. The price is the full amount you pay; there are no further charges.

You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, or with Klarna. If you pay with Klarna, your agreement for that payment is with Klarna.

Where a cohort is free, registering confirms your place. The one to one intensive and the apprenticeship are priced individually.

What your place includes

Your place includes both workshop days and whatever else your cohort's booking page lists. Where these terms mention an iPad or AI tool access, they apply only to places that include it.

• Where your place includes an iPad: a pre-owned iPad, fully reset, which is yours to keep. iPads are chosen in booking order at the start of the first day, so the earlier you book, the wider your choice. Models, storage and colours vary. You keep it whether or not you attend the second day.
• Where your place includes AI tool access: one month of access to the AI tools used in the workshop, through an account we set up for you. Access starts before the first day and ends one month after it.

You build on your own laptop. Where your place includes an iPad, it is for testing your work on a real device, keeping your notes and presenting.

Your right to cancel within 14 days

You can cancel within 14 days of booking, for any reason, by emailing us.

• If you cancel before the workshop starts, we refund you in full.
• If the workshop starts within those 14 days, the booking form asks you to confirm that you want it to go ahead as booked. If you then cancel after attending the first day, we refund the price minus half of it for the day you attended. You return the iPad within 14 days, in the condition you received it. If you would rather keep it, we deduct a further £110 and it stays yours.

We refund to the payment method you used, within 14 days of your cancellation. Where an iPad is being returned, we refund within 14 days of receiving it.

Cancelling after the 14 days

• Seven or more days before the first day: we refund you in full.
• Less than seven days before the first day: we do not refund, but you can move your place to a later cohort once, at no cost. If we fill your place with someone else, we refund you in full.

How to cancel

Email vantageworkshops@aperintelligence.com with your name and the cohort you booked. The date we receive your email is the date of your cancellation.

If you miss a day

We do not refund missed days and we do not run catch-up sessions. If you attended the first day, the iPad stays yours. If you miss the first day, we keep your iPad for you to collect by arrangement.

If we cancel or change a workshop

If we cancel a cohort, or change its dates or venue, we tell you as early as we can and you choose between a full refund and a place on another cohort.

If your iPad is faulty

Your iPad must match its description and work properly. If it is faulty, tell us. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply, including a repair, a replacement or a refund of its value.

What to bring

A working laptop with a web browser, and its charger. If you do not have a laptop, tell us when you book and we will do our best to help.

Bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and water are provided.

Conduct

Workshops are intimate and attendees share their ideas, code and career backgrounds in them. Anyone treating another attendee discourteously or disrupting the session will be asked to leave.

Photographs

Photographs are occasionally taken during workshop sessions for documentation. Please tell us at the start of the session if you prefer not to appear in photos, and we will ensure you are kept out of frame. Attending is never conditional on being photographed.

What we do not promise

Vantage is practical hands-on training. It is not an accredited degree, a formal qualification or a guarantee of employment. Where programmes discuss grant or venture funding, that represents guidance on preparation, not a guarantee of award.
